    Description

    Vintage newsletters and other communications between members of the "Gone With the Wind Collectors Club," circa 1979-1986. Includes information on important upcoming screenings and broadcasts, announcements of conventions, operations of relevant museums and exhibits, news about cast members, analyses of film and novel, and offerings of various items for sale. Not a complete run of materials from the period indicated, but roughly 20 individual pieces, giving a snapshot of such collecting before it was made easier and faster by the introduction of on-line trading. A chance to learn who were the major collectors of the time, including probably the most important collector, Atlanta's Herb Bridges, who was an officer of the club.
