A letter of thankyou from the Halsey family to Commander Silk for expressing his condolences is also included in the framed material.

    Matted and framed Historical Documents from Admiral Bull Halsey, a hero of WWII fame. Letter from Halsey to Commander Silk declining an invitation to attend a party due ti his recent illness. Halsey died August 16, 1959 the following year. Commander Silk attended the funeral from the Halsey family which is included in the framed materials. I bought this historical document in 1987 at "The American Museum of Historical Documents" in Las Vegas. The certificate of authenticity is included.
