    Description

This beautifully-detailed  medal is a high-quality replica of the Commander's  Cross of the
Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus
    (
Ordine dei Santi Maurizio e Lazzaro
), an order of knighthood of the Italian Royal House of Savoy which was established in 1572.
The order was a combination of the Order of Saint Maurice (founded in 1434) with the medieval Order of Saint Lazarus. The order was awarded by the Italian crown from 1861 until 1946.
The Commander's Cross is worn suspended from a green ribbon which is worn around the neck.
This medal is made of plated brass and enamel. It measures 96 mm from the top of the "jump ring" (small ring) to the bottom and 65 mm across.  It weighs 52 grams (1.8 oz.)
The medal comes with a 12-inch length of green ribbon - 38 mm wide.  The ends are "unfinished."
