    Description

This auction is for a brand new replacement lock, 2 keys plus a free screw kit and reproduction paper collection time insert only.  The
    mailbox is not included
and is featured in photos only to illustrate the type of box this lock fits. This lock should fit any of the cast iron drop boxes of this style regardless of who manufactured it.
The lock is new and comes with 2 keys.
I will provide a free screw kit
which includes sets of the 2 most common screw sizes for boxes that have the cast iron door.  If these don't work, you can pick up different sizes individually at a hardware store.  There is a possibility that the holes on your box may have been modified while in service resulting in different size threads.  The correct way to mount it is to screw the screw in from the inside of the the door so that you don't see the screw heads from the outside of the box. The lock in my photos is not screw in.  I just placed it there for photos.
You can see in the photos where I traced and measured the holes.
The distance from the center of the right and left side bolt holes is 1-
5/16". The distance between the centers of the upper and lower holes is 2-13/16".  Please measure the bolt holes on your box to confirm the lock will fit prior to ordering.
The cylinder that sticks through the door is nice and snug to avoid water getting inside the box.  If your box is missing the lock and has heavy rust in the opening or several layers of old, thick paint, you may need to use a file and Dremel to remove some for the new lock to fully fit.
I will provide a free collection time card.
    The c
ollection card is a new reproduction printed on standard, white paper card stock and is already trimmed to fit in the lower window on the box.  It is the correct style card for the time period when these boxes were manufactured rather than the newer ones that feature the "sonic" eagle head which was not introduced until 1993.
