    EXTREMELY RARE - LARGE ORIGINAL WOOD PANEL RECOVERED FROM INDEPENDENCE HALL DURING THE 1948 RESTORATION OF INDEPENDENCE HALL.  INDEPENDENCE HALL, LOCATED IN PHILADELPHIA PENNSYLVANIA, IS THE BUILDING WHERE BOTH THE UNITED STATES DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE AND THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION WERE DEBATED AND ADOPTED. IT IS NOW THE CENTERPIECE OF THE INDEPENDENCE NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK IN PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA AND IS A UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE.
    IN 1948, THE BUILDING'S INTERIOR WAS RESTORED TO IT'S ORIGINAL APPEARANCE. INDEPENDENCE NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK WAS ESTABLISHED BY THE 80TH U.S. CONGRESS LATER THAT YEAR TO PRESERVE HISTORICAL SITES ASSOCIATED WITH THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION. THIS PIECE OF INTERIOR PANELING WAS RECOVERED DURING THE RESTORATION.
