    VINTAGE 1950s DINER MEMORABILIA
    Offered are a advertising drinking glass and glass ashtray from Ed's Diner, located at Franklin & State Streets in Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
    Ed's Diner was a 24-hour popular restaurant back in the 1950s.  Owner Ed Taifer was also the head chef.  Many young adults would "hang out" at this diner.
    The building is still standing but was last operated as County Food Market in 1989.
    The drinking(water~juice) glass measures approximately 2 3/4" in diameter and sits a mere 4" high.  I believe it was made by Federal Glass for it has their trademark on the bottom.   The glass has red print on it reading, "Ed's Diner, The Best at its Best, Route 202, Doylestown, PA."  NO Cracks or Chips.  Some wear is visible for this was used over and over again by the diner's many customers.
    The glass ashtray measures a little over 3 1/2" square.  This ashtray has the same red printed lettering as the juice glass.  There are NO Cracks.  I believe there are very very tiny flea bites on a couple corners but these are barely noticeable.
