    Description

    This key from what we have discerned through our research was featured in the gift shop of the wold trade center for a limited time. This particular item was featured in 1977 and was created by City MDSE (City Merchandising), well known for producing unique and interesting artifacts and gifts for historical buildings and sites in New York City.
    The item is constructed of heavy diecast and does have a bit of wear around the patterned design that surrounds the key head. There are also two marking on top of the key head that would indicate some type of attached loop that would have served as either a connection for a necklace or possibly a key chain.
    From the weight of the item and the small size of the footprint for the loop we would concur that it was for a necklace as a key chain loop would had to have been both larger, and sturdier that what is indicated by the marks.
